The Premier League giants had earlier shown support to the victims of the accident when it occurred by Tweeting, “Our thoughts go out to the United fans, their friends and families affected by the tragedy in Calabar, Nigeria, yesterday,” Man United wrote. Other football communities and organizations also showed their supports by sending condolence messages to the victims the likes of FIFA, NFF and NPFL. Manchester United Currently sit in fifth place on the table with 64 points and a game in hand.

According to reports, there was a fire outbreak at the Oba of Lagos’ palace today.He was immediately rushed to safety while awaiting the Lagos State Fire Service to put of the fire.   The incident has been linked to him publicly disrespecting the Ooni of Ife. It should also be recalled that a statement from the Ooni’s palace had requested a public apology from the Oba of Lagos and failure to do so would lead to the involvement of the Gods.
